Tom Hopkins
You may not recognize his name, but nearly every time you turn on your television or radio, play a video game or go to the movies, you hear his music.
Tom was born and raised in the heart of Los Angeles in a musical family. Performing and recording professionally as a studio guitarist from 13 years of age, he amazed the older studio musicians, becoming known for his passion and energetic, expressive style.
In his early teens, he attended Dick Grove Music School and performed all over Southern California, from Disneyland to the Troubadour, and in some of the top studios in Hollywood. He graduated from high school early to study guitar performance and composition at Cal State University, Northridge, where he played in the Jazz A band.
Later, he studied at the University of Utah. But most importantly, Tom studied on his own, teaching himself and learning by experience. In his studies, he vigorously pursues a wide variety of musical styles and production techniques with a self-willed passion for excellence.
That is why he remains one of the busiest composer/producer/musicians in the world.
